π Don't purchase π π¬ π« until October 31st.
π If candy is already purchased, keep it out of sight.
π Be realistic. If nobody typically stops at your house, there's no need to buy candy.
π Know that on November 1st, all the candy will be on sale.
π If you want to enjoy a piece of candy ββ savor it ββ but know your limits. If candy is a trigger, itβs best to keep it away.
π Depending on the weather in your area, there is a chance that Halloween trick or treating is cancelled. If that is the case, donate your candy. Many dentists collect candy and send it overseas.
π Try giving out something other than candy, like stickers, little toys, and/or temporary tattoos. I will be personally doing this at my home. As the mother of a child with food allergies, I am now hypersensitive of the fact that when she is older, she may not be able to participate like everyone else on Halloween. I want everyone to feel included.
